English Teacher

This SEND school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated QTS English Teacher to join their welcoming and experienced team. As an English Teacher, you will teach small classes of students with a range of special educational needs, delivering engaging and highly differentiated lessons that support literacy, communication and confidence. You will create a structured and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, supported and able to succeed. The school benefits from outstanding resources and specialist facilities, allowing staff to deliver creative and effective lessons tailored to individual needs. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants and colleagues who are committed to achieving the best outcomes for students. This role would suit a passionate and adaptable English Teacher with strong subject knowledge and a genuine interest in supporting students with SEND. Previous SEND experience is desirable but not essential. Job Role:
- Teaching English to small classes of students with SEND
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Supporting students’ literacy, communication and confidence
- Creating a structured, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff
- Using a wide range of resources to meet individual learning needs
- Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress
- Contributing to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Work in a supportive SEND school with outstanding resources
- Be part of a collaborative and experienced staff team
- Teach small classes with excellent staff-to-pupil ratio
- Receive ongoing support from leadership and colleagues

- Pay to scale up to MPS 6
