Salary: Excellent starting salary + Shift Allowance + Overtime paid at premium rates

Hours: 39 hours per week

A well-established Manufacturing facility is currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the Maintenance team based at their Birmingham site.

The company have been established over 25 years and work within a niche metal manufacturing industry where this role has been born out of business growth and demand.

You will be joining an established, friendly & experienced team who have over the years developed an effective maintenance plan to undertake planned preventative maintenance and breakdowns, predominately Electrical with some Mechanical.

Working on bespoke machinery, your duties as a Maintenance Electrician will include:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks

• Ensure all electrical breakdowns are carried out accurately and in a timely manner

• Minimise downtime on plant and equipment

• Work in a safe and orderly manner

• Work under own initiative with minimal supervision

• Undertaking daily machine walk rounds, highlighting any required maintenance

• Ensuring all paperwork is completed

The successful applicant must possess:

• Good working knowledge of electrical maintenance along with mechanical skills
• Experience of working as a maintenance electrician / technician / engineer within a production / manufacturing environment is essential.
• Formal electrical qualifications (16 th , 17 th or 18 th Edition or equivalent)
• A solid working knowledge of electrical production machinery fault diagnosis, repair and servicing.

Hours: A 3 shift rotation of; 6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm & 10pm – 6am

Due to the business operation we do require any applicants to be flexible on their working hours to maybe cover extra production demands and holiday cover.
