Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs
Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children with complex learning needs? This excellent special school is looking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 3 students with a range of complex needs in a supportive and nurturing environment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to support pupils with a variety of needs, which may include Autism, severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities and communication impairments. You will provide both 1-2-1 and small group support, helping students engage with learning, develop independence and build confidence. This is a hands-on role that requires patience, empathy and a proactive approach. This role requires a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting in a complex needs environment. Job Role:
- Providing 1-2-1 and small group support for pupils with complex learning needs
- Supporting students with Autism, severe learning difficulties and physical disabilities
- Assisting with the delivery of personalised learning activities
- Supporting pupils with communication, social and independence skills
- Helping to manage behaviour and promote positive engagement
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Contributing to a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
- Work in a well-resourced and supportive special school
- Be part of a dedicated and experienced staff team
