A caring Birmingham primary is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Reception Teacher to join the Early Years team on a Part-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Reception Teacher will be invited to pre-term planning prior to January 2026, will attend induction in January 2026, and will begin teaching from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher. This Part-Time Reception Teacher role is designed to enable focused, high-impact practice while maintaining work-life balance. The Reception Teacher will work closely with skilled teaching assistants and phase leaders to deliver outstanding early years learning from January 2026.

Reception Teacher will access tailored EYFS CPD and mentoring from January 2026.

Reception Teacher Responsibilities
• The Reception Teacher will lead language-rich continuous provision and daily phonics sessions as the Reception Teacher.
• The Reception Teacher will use observation and assessment to plan next steps, design adult-led activities and provide targeted interventions as the Reception Teacher.
• The Reception Teacher will lead parent workshops, support transition into Year 1 and contribute to moderation as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will prepare resources in the weeks before January 2026 and will teach from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher.

Reception Teacher Requirements
• QTS/EYTS (or equivalent) and demonstrable early years experience required of the Reception Teacher.
• A Reception Teacher who is creative, reflective and skilled at family engagement.
• Available for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, induction in January 2026, and teaching from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher.
