Account Executive or Account Manager

DevComms, an innovative stakeholder engagement consultancy specialising in the built environment, is looking for a dynamic Account Executive / Senior Account Executive / Account Manager to join its growing Midlands team, based in Birmingham.

We help developer clients navigate complex stakeholder and community issues to achieve better planning outcomes.

About the role

We are looking for a creative, proactive team player with an interest in local politics, engaging with local people, and helping to shape new places and communities. The successful candidate can work remotely and flexibly, but will need to work from our Birmingham office at least two days per week.

Depending on experience, responsibilities include:

Creating and implementing public affairs programmes and strategies
Supporting the development of consultation strategies
Conducting political and community research
Preparing and leading production of publicity materials
Analysing and reporting on consultation feedback
Liaising with clients and local communities
Monitoring local media, community and political activity
Confidently handling client, project team and stakeholder relationships
Using social media and digital tools within engagement strategies

You will have:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Interest in or experience of stakeholder engagement
An interest in and understanding of local and national politics
Confidence communicating with a range of audiences
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A full UK driving licence and access to a car
