Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor - Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) 🌟 📍 Location: Birmingham 💷 Competitive Daily Rates 📅 Flexible Opportunities Available - Day-to-Day, Short-Term & Long-Term Roles Are you passionate about supporting young people who need a fresh start in education? We are currently recruiting dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants and Learning Mentors to work within a supportive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU). 💡 About the Role: You'll be supporting pupils who may have experienced barriers to learning, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), challenging behaviour, or exclusion from mainstream education. Every day brings a new opportunity to make a genuine difference. ✅ Responsibilities:
- Supporting students both inside and outside the classroom
- Building positive and trusting relationships
- Promoting engagement, confidence and emotional wellbeing
- Assisting with behaviour management strategies
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Experience working with children or young people
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience within PRUs, SEMH settings, youth work, care work, sports coaching or mentoring is desirable
- Flexible work to suit your availability
- Day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements
