Are you an experienced scientist with a strong background in innovative chemistry work? Our client is looking for a Senior Development Chemist that helps make ideas a reality. If you’re passionate about chemistry and being the leading driver in developing new chemical products then this could be for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be in the lab helping to develop a proof of concept for a customer’s requirements before working to turn that into a full-scale manufacturing operation. In order to do that you will be expected to:

• Liaise with clients to understand their needs

• Innovate new ideas to best suit those requirements

• Develop and synthesise new chemicals in the lab to act as a proof of concept

• Work alongside Production, Quality and other relevant departments to take that concept up to pilot plant and then manufacturing scale

• Assist developing analytical methods and techniques to monitor progress of reactions and analyse final product to ensure it meets our client’s high standards

What You’ll Bring

Essential

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Experience in organic synthesis and scaling up from the lab all the way through to full manufacturing.

• Must have thorough knowledge of HSE requirements, specifically the handling of hazardous chemicals in various package sizes.

Desirable

• Previous client facing experience.
