Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) - Principal Associate - Employment | Leading Global Firm | Birmingham | Hybrid Working Available A leading global law firm is seeking a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) - Principal Associate to join its Employment team in Birmingham. This is a permanent opportunity with flexible hybrid working options available. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest Employment law teams globally, offering the chance to contribute to high-profile, complex matters across a broad range of sectors. The role will focus on supporting the firm's Employment team by providing strategic legal knowledge, promoting technical excellence, and driving innovative solutions. The Role This role sits within a dynamic and collaborative Employment team known for delivering high-quality work and handling some of the most complex and significant matters in the field. You will: Support the Employment team by providing expert knowledge in areas such as equal pay, employment disputes, and compliance with new legislation. Develop market-leading content, including client alerts, publications, and legal updates, to ensure clients are kept informed of key developments. Work closely with fee earners, providing strategic advice and knowledge solutions. Support key client relationships and business development initiatives. Lead and contribute to profile-raising activities including article writing, external speaking engagements, and organizing events. Collaborate with colleagues across multiple sectors such as healthcare, financial services, education, and technology. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a high-performing team, while building your expertise and advancing your career in Employment law. The Candidate We are looking for a candidate with: At least 7 years' PQE in Employment law. No prior PSL experience is required; a strong technical background and an ability to quickly develop knowledge management skills are essential. A keen interest in black letter law, with excellent technical skills and a focus on delivering quality, practical solutions. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues. A collaborative mindset, able to work within a team and support others in their development. A commercial perspective and the ability to contribute to strategic decisions and innovations within the team. What's on Offer?
