Year 4 Teacher - Birmingham
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Birmingham, starting ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for a Key Stage 2 teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality lessons, supporting pupils’ academic progress, and fostering personal growth and resilience.

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the curriculum, ensuring pupils consolidate their learning from lower Key Stage 2 while developing independence, critical thinking, and confidence. You will also create a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports both academic and social-emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the Year 4 curriculum
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN and EAL
Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and high expectations
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to planning sessions, staff meetings, and school initiatives
Support pupils’ personal, social, and academic development
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Have recent experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 4
Be confident delivering the full KS2 curriculum
Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective, enthusiastic, and pupil-focused
Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
