Finance Manager

Location: Birmingham Salary: GBP70,000 to GBP80,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits

SF Partnership is partnering with a market leading, fast–growing construction business to appoint an ambitious and commercially focused Finance Manager into a key leadership position within their West Midlands operation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified finance professional who wants to step into a visible, influential role where they can genuinely shape performance, partner with senior leadership and play a key part in strategic decision making.

Reporting to the Regional Finance Director you will act as a true business partner across finance, operations and commercial teams, taking ownership of delivering high quality financial insight and supporting business performance across the division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce monthly management accounts and insightful commercial reporting
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to improve business performance
• Support forecasting, budgeting and cashflow management
• Deliver analysis and commentary for senior leadership and board reporting
• Drive improvements across finance processes, controls and reporting
• Challenge assumptions and investigate variances across operational performance
• Support strategic planning and business decision making
• Play a key role in improving systems, reporting capability and finance visibility

To be considered you must be:

• A qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience
• Confident working with senior stakeholders across a fast–paced environment
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Proactive, driven and solutions focused mindset
• Able to balance attention to detail with commercial thinking
• Experience within construction industry or a project led environment would be highly advantageous, although not essential.
