HGV Class 2 Driver - Birmingham

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Birmingham, Aston West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver , Category C Driver or Truck Driver .

Shifts: Monday - Friday: start times between 03:00 and 06:00

Rates of pay: £16.00 - £17.20 per hour

Day to Day Duties:

Your duties as a HGV Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

* Store Deliveries which will involve handballing
* Operate and drive various Category C vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
* Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
* Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
* Use of electric or manual pump truck
* Tail lift usage
* Normally 7-8 deliveries/collections

Essential Skills:

As a HGV Class 2 Driver you will need to:

* Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
* Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving Category C vehicles
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
* Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
* Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
* Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
* Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

* Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
* Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial

* Industry related training provided around processes and procedures with ongoing support without
