Senior Orthopaedic Robotics Specialist
Life. Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living. As a Senior Orthopaedic Robotics Specialist , you will be at the forefront of some of the most advanced orthopaedic technology available today. This is a highly visible, field-based sales role where you will partner closely with surgeons and internal teams to grow our robotics footprint. This is a national role but with a focus across the Midlands, and a wider remit spanning up to Northern England. If you are passionate about enabling innovation in the operating theatre and thrive on building long term clinical relationships, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact. What will you be doing?
You will be at the centre of our robotics growth, spending your time in the field working shoulder to shoulder with surgeons, sales colleagues and specialist teams to bring cutting edge robotics technology into hospitals across your territory. From leading the launch of new robotic installations to accelerating utilisation in established accounts, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how robotics is adopted and used every day. Your role will blend commercial impact with clinical expertise. You will deliver engaging demonstrations and hands on training, support workshops and congress activity, and become a trusted presence in the operating theatre. Working closely with the Robotics Business Development Manager and Recon sales teams, you will identify and develop new surgeon users, contribute to a strong and sustainable sales pipeline, and ensure every new account is smoothly implemented and confidently handed over. You will also act as a go to expert for high level technical and clinical support, including troubleshooting within the Real Intelligence environment. At every stage of the customer journey, you will ensure surgeons and clinical teams feel supported, confident and excited about the value robotics brings to their practice. What will you need to be successful?
- Proven experience in robotic, orthopaedic or reconstructive sales, with the confidence to engage and influence surgeons and key stakeholders
- A strong technical and clinical mindset, comfortable delivering training and providing hands on support in the operating theatre
- A challenger approach to sales, with the drive to grow utilisation, penetrate existing accounts and develop new users
- A passion for disruptive, enabling technologies and the motivation to travel extensively across the territory
