Business Development Assistant
About The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Business Development Assistant to join our team and support the growth of services at Practice Plus Group Hospital Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build a career in healthcare business development and marketing, working closely with clinical teams, senior leaders and external stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in promoting our services, strengthening relationships with GP practices and community partners, and helping increase patient referrals across NHS and private pathways.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), and some weekend working may be required to support events and engagement activities.
What you'll be doing
As our Business Development Assistant, you will be:
- Supporting the delivery of referral and business growth targets through marketing and engagement activity.
- Assisting with organising and coordinating visits to GP practices, community groups and other stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with GP practices, practice managers and local contacts.
- Supporting local marketing campaigns, events, CPD sessions and awareness initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate records of stakeholder engagement, visits and outcomes.
- Assisting with social media, website updates and promotional materials.
- Gathering market intelligence and supporting reporting on local activity and performance.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams including marketing, operations and senior leadership.
What we’ll look for in you
With your experience working in a customer-facing, administrative or stakeholder engagement role, you will also have:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Good IT skills and confidence using systems, social media and digital tools
- A positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Interest in healthcare, marketing or business development
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally
- Flexible approach to work due as some weekend working may be required
