Early Years Educator
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the developmental and educational needs of young children. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise management and leadership skills while working closely with children to support their growth and learning. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental stages of children in your care.
- Manage daily classroom routines, ensuring a safe, organised, and welcoming environment.
- Demonstrate effective leadership by supervising assistant staff and volunteers, ensuring high standards of childcare and education are maintained.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones.
- Monitor individual children's needs and adapt activities accordingly to support their personal growth.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and behavioural observations.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early childhood education standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee classroom activities and team coordination.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equality.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between different locations or community outreach activities.
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A recognised qualification in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification).
