TeacherActive are proud to be working with a specialist SEND Teacher provision in South Birmingham who are seeking a SEND Teacher for a permanent position. This SEND Teacher role is within a primary-aged setting supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties and speech, language and communication needs. The SEND Teacher will be joining a highly inclusive environment that promotes holistic development and collaborative working across a wider federation of specialist schools and post-19 provision. The SEND Teacher will be part of a team committed to inspiring and empowering every learner. The SEND Teacher will be responsible for delivering tailored learning programmes to pupils aged 3–11 with EHCPs, all of whom present with complex learning needs. This SEND Teacher role requires close collaboration with teaching assistants, therapists and wider professionals to ensure consistent, structured support. The SEND Teacher will work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 groups, adapting planning to meet a wide range of developmental and communication needs. - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential
- Experience working as a SEND Teacher in a specialist or mainstream SEN setting
- Strong understanding of severe learning difficulties and speech, language and communication needs
- Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs and complex learning profiles
- Excellent differentiation and behaviour management skills
