Teacher of English
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in English or a closely related subject
- Proven ability to teach English Language and Literature across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons
- Experience of planning and delivering a differentiated curriculum to meet the needs of all learners
- A clear understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements at KS3 and KS4 (including GCSE specifications)
- Ability to use a range of teaching strategies to promote high expectations and excellent progress for all students
- Experience of using assessment data to inform teaching and improve student outcomes
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and purposeful learning environment
- Commitment to promoting high standards of literacy across the curriculum
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment and extracurricular activities
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
