Teaching Assistant
Monarch Education is working closely with a primary SEN school in Kings Norton to recruit a full‑time SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism (ASC) and associated needs within a structured, nurturing learning environment.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a patient, compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting young children with Autism and helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to primary‑aged pupils
- Support children with Autism (ASC) and additional learning needs
- Assist with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Support communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
- Assist pupils with sensory needs, routines, and transitions
- Help maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCo, and support staff
Essential Criteria
- Experience working with children with Autism (ASC) or SEND
- Confident supporting primary‑aged pupils
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Ability to support behaviour and emotional regulation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Available to work full‑time on a long‑term basis
